Family Time: Lunch & MIB3
It was a rare day today where both my husband and older daughter were off from work on the same day. We decided to make lunch and watch and watch Men In Black 3 together, streaming from Vudu.com…..before it’s even released on DVD to the public.
If you read my last post about pre-ordering MIB3 at Walmart, you’ll know that we registered for a free account at vudu.com, redeemed our code from the pre-order version that we bought at Walmart and now we can watch it streaming before it’s available for purchase on November 30. Cool, huh?
It only took a few seconds to connect our PS3 with Vudu. Go to vudu.com, hover over Devices in the top navigational bar, click your device and follow the directions. It’s as simple as clicking the vudu app on your device, installing it and watching your movie. You’ll even get a $5.99 credit towards future rentals.
So back to our day….we made lunch – I had a Boca vegetarian chicken patty (love them!) and my family had hotdogs. We’ve been buying organic hotdogs from Applegate and they really like them. My younger daughter set up the PS3 in the living room (it’s her’s so it was in her room) and we watched MIB3.
I don’t want to give anything away, but it was really funny! It had some good one-liners in it, as you would expect from MIB. It had a little twist to it , kind of emotional, but not mushy. It’s a great family movie!

Read MoreHalloween Hangout {with help from Unreal!}
My teen daughters (14 & 17) invited some of their friends over to hang out, play video games, have lunch and sample Unreal candy!! Before we tell you how it went, let me tell you about this innovative company.
Produced in the USA and Canada, Unreal’s mission is to recreate America’s most popular and best selling candies, without using corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. It was started by a family; father and two young sons after setting out to find a healthy replacement for the Halloween candy they collected trick or treating.
Everyone really enjoyed the candy! Some of the boys were asking me about it, wanting to know what it was – they were trying the peanut butter cups and thought they were Reese’s. One of the girls told me she saw Unreal candy in the store the other day and she had considered buying it so she was happy to have the chance to sample it.
My 14 year old daughter loved the peanut butter cups – she said they were better tasting than Reese’s and the peanut butter tastes “real”.
I gave out goodie bags, filled with all five types of Unreal candy to each family and the moms were very interested in tasting it and finding out more information. One of the moms said she has just saw an Unreal display in the store that morning and had bought a bag to try it out.
